Dr. Funk confirmed that the H1N1 flu virus has appeared in Albert Lea Public Schools. He also told us that they are continuing talks between the district and the union representing teachers in the district.

Superintendent Krenz said teachers in his district will be allowed to make the decision about whether or not to allow their children to watch President Obama's address to school children of the United States on the first day of class.
