Fire Destroys Barn Near Riceville

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- An Amish barn is destroyed this morning after flames ripped through Thursday. It happened just west of Riceville, Iowa.

The Leroy Fire Department was called in, with help from Riceville and Stacyville. Crews weren't just worried about the barn, they say a silo next to it posed a threat when it started to lean.

"There's a cement silo there that dies have a bit of a lean to it... and the weather's not helping us much at all," said Don Theobale of the Leroy Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
