Officials say Tracy Miller of Plum City was getting off the Highway 52 off-ramp in Rochester onto Highway 63 when the trailer rolled It took firefighters nearly 40 minutes to cut him out of the cab. "The cabs are not very structural in a side impact like that so the driver's lower extremities were trapped by both the steering wheel and the dash up against his seat. So of course our concern is that we don't make things worse in removing him," says Battalion Chief Steven Belau of the Rochester Fire Department. The accident backed up traffic for almost 2 hours Wednesday. |
