ABC 6 News Great Car Giveaway 2009 Winners!

The ABC 6 News Great Car Give Away 2009 results are in and have exceeded all expectations! According to Sheryl Barlow, ABC 6 News Web Director and co-creator of the Great Car Giveaway, "Our website, www.kaaltv.com received 60,222 entries. That's six times the anticipated number and it increased web traffic by nearly 400%. The five participating local car dealerships share our enthusiasm about the impressive results."

Each participating dealership donated one used car for the Great Car Give Away 2009 promotion. This unique marketing campaign generated terrific television and website exposure for the dealerships and offered viewers the opportunity to win a car during these challenging economic times. The lucky winners were chosen in a random drawing held earlier this month.

Barlow commented on a facet of the project that she enjoyed the most. "It was so much fun making the calls to our five winners, letting them know they would be driving home with a car."

The ABC 6 News Great Car Giveaway 2009 has also been nominated for a National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Award for Best Innovative Campaign for Small Market Television.
