Chris Paradise

(ABC 6 NEWS) --  A high-scoring offense is always fun to watch, no matter what the sport is, and there might not be a more explosive one in football than Kasson-Mantorville.

As ABC 6 Sports reporter Caleb Ostrander tells us, the KoMets rely heavily on the talents of our Male Prep Athlete of the Week.

If you're a high school football fan, then watching Chris Paradise is pretty much paradise.

"I think Chris is fun to watch. He's not arrogant. He doesn't put on a show. His show is, he gets open, catches the ball, and runs fast," says head coach Ivan Kroulik.

"I've always been fast, but this summer we really worked out hard with Coach Meyer and he's done great things for us. He's really helped us to get faster. We lifted. Worked out hard all summer. I think that really helped me with my speed this year," Paradise says.

And now he's a threat to score any time he gets the ball in his hands, like this past Friday at Stewartville. Catch number one...

Here's number two...

And this isn't a replay... number three...

One quarter, three catches, three touchdowns, game over.

"That was great. Nothing feels better than scoring touchdowns, but it wasn't just me. All I did was run fast. Bryan threw some great balls. Our line had some great pass protection, so it was just a great start to the game," Paradise says.

"Chris combines everything you'd like in a high school athlete. You never have to worry about him doing the right thing. He's got nice size. He runs discipline routes. And he's got speed," Kroulik says.

And he's one of the primary contributors to a team that's 4-0 and averaging over 40 points a game.

"It's never going to get old, but we can't get too proud of ourselves. We've got to stay focused for the end of the season and look good coming into the playoffs," Paradise says.
