Vista village is about to dry up "Tomorrow (Tuesday) at eight o'clock the water could possibly be shut off," says Robert Luthe. With no individual water meters at the homes at trailer court, owner Robert Fuller adds the cost of water into the rent he charges his tenants, and he pays the city. At least, that's the plan. With a past-due bill of more than 2-thousand dollars, the city says it will turn off the water tomorrow morning. But owner robert fuller says he's trying to send a message. "Get a point across that the city of Brownsdale isn't maintaining things the way it should," says Robert Fuller. The trailer park and the city have an agreement for taking care of the streets in the park. "We’ve always done it and we've taken care of it, it's no different than any other street in the community," says Luthe. The question is, is it being done? "To me that would mean taking care of potholes. There hasn't been anything done to the streets in that sense since it was built," says Fuller. The city of Brownsdale is raising one set of concerns, owner Robert Fuller is raising another, and the residents of Vista Village say they're caught in the middle. "He’s punishing all of us over a pothole he could fix with two gallons of tar," says Brian Tube. Brian Tube has lived in the trailer park for three years. |
