Explosion in Dodge County Farm

(ABC 6 NEWS) – Authorities are investigating an explosion in Dodge County. It happened shortly before noon at a hog farm just west of Hayfield.

ABC 6 News spoke with a man who says he was blown 30-40 feet across the ground during the blast. He says the explosion happened in an empty hog barn while he was outside checking machinery. He didn't appear to have suffered any major injuries.

Authorities believe methane gas inside the building may have caused the blast. The state fire marshal is on his way to the scene.
