Nurse Investigated for Encouraging Suicide

(ABC 6 NEWS) – A Faribault nurse is being investigated for encouraging people  to commit suicide.

Police say a 47-year-old man admitted to having a suicide fetish and encouraging as many as 5 people to kill themselves. That includes an 18-year-old Canadian student who chatted online with the nurse before jumping into a river.

The nurse still hasn't been formally charged.

"I want him to be found guilty go to jail and thereby sending a clear message to internet predators," says one victim's mother, Deborah Chevalier.

The Minnesota Board of Nursing has pulled his license.
