New Bus Lanes Open for Training

Most of the barrels and barricades will be removed Sunday from Marquette and 2nd Avenues in Downtown Minneapolis, but there are still areas you should avoid.

Metro Transit and other Transit company drivers will begin using the downtown streets for training on Sunday.  Two lanes of general traffic will remain open on Marquette and 2nd Avenues in addition to the two lanes of bus traffic.  You're asked not to drive, or park on the bus lanes.

Passengers are scheduled to return to bus stops along Marquette and 2nd Avenues on December 14.  Until then, Metro Transit  and other transit services will continue to operate on current routes.

The public should expect some short-term lane closures as the city of Minneapolis continues to complete the work along these two stretches in Downtown.
