A teenage boy died after allegedly being stabbed in Minneapolis early Saturday morning. Minneapolis police were responding to a robbery call near 28th Street East and Hiawatha Avenue South around 1:40 a.m. when they found 17-year-old Tim Jackson. He was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center by ambulance, and died only minutes after arriving. Jackson was a member of the Little Earth of United Tribes--an Indian Community in Minneapolis, that is shedding many tears over the lost member of the community. "He was a good kid and he just wanted good things for himself and his family. We loved you, Tim. We're going to miss you," said family friend, Stacie Mooney. Jackson, who was a member of the Red Lake Nation Tribe loved to work out, and play sports and video games. He used to live at Little Earth with his family before moving out a few years ago. Police are investigating whether or not the circumstances leading to the death of Jackson are in connection with the robbery. "Our homicide team is looking at this case to see if there's a connection to the robbery call. Obviously there's a proximity between time and location, but that final determination hasn't been made," said Sgt. Bill Palmer of the Minneapolis Police Dept. There have been no arrests made as of yet, but Jackson's brother says police will be looking through surveillance tapes from around the area for clues.
