(AP) - A Minnesota man has been sentenced in North Dakota to 15 years in prison for starting another man's van on fire while the man was inside. Fifty-three-year-old Joseph Carpenter was convicted of felony endangering by fire or explosion. South Central District Judge Bruce Romanick also ordered him to pay $6,000 in restitution. Carpenter was accused last September of setting fire to Jeffrey Hart's van at a campground on Lake Audubon after a dispute with the Michigan man over a fish filet knife. Authorities say Hart suffered burns on his hands, arms and legs. Hart was charged with misdemeanor assault but the charge was later dropped. --- Information from: Bismarck Tribune, http://www.bismarcktribune.com (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press.
