Local pro to play on poker's grandest stage

Three years ago St Louis Park's Jason Senti gave up his young career as an engineer to become a full-time pro poker player.

It's a gamble that's paid off big time.

He recently won his way into the main table at the annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.  After 7,300 players paid the $10,000 fee and entered the WSOP, only nine remain to play at the final table.

Although Jason enters the final table in last place, he's already guaranteed $811,000 even if he's the first person to go out.

Should he win, Senti will claim a grand prize of nearly $9-million.

The final table plays in November and will be seen on a same-day rebroadcast on ESPN.
