NASCAR Owner at Mayo Clinic

(ABC 6 NEWS) -- A plane crash sends one of NASCAR’s greatest to Mayo Clinic.

Jack Roush is listed in serious, but stable condition after his plane crashed on an Oshkosh, Wisconsin runway.

Roush owns NASCAR's largest team, operating eight motorsports teams. On Tuesday, he was on his way to one of his other passions, an aviation convention.

His business jet went down just after six o'clock.

An official says Roush sustained facial injuries in the crash, and has since been transferred to the Mayo Clinic.

Spokespeople won't say what kind of injuries he has, only that he is listed in serious condition.

Roush's passenger, Brenda Stricklin, was treated at a Wisconsin hospital and released Wednesday afternoon.

The two were going to air-venture, which is a convention put on by the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

This isn't Roush's first plane crash. He survived another accident back in 2002.
