(ABC 6 NEWS) -- The fishing opener ended tragically for a group of teenagers.

La Sueur County officials recovered the body of 17-year-old Derrick Evans of Waterville at about 1:30 this afternoon, near the town of Kilkenny.
    
Officials say Evans was in the boat with two other teens when it capsized.
    
The two other boys were able to make it to the Sabre Lake shore, but police say Evans was last seen clinging to the boat.

Deputies say the water had been choppy due to windy conditions.
