Lawmakers address Red River flooding

Senator Amy Klobuchar will be in the Red River Valley Tuesday trying to help protect the area from flooding like it saw this spring.

Klobuchar and Congressman Collin Peterson will hold five public meetings in Breckenridge, Moorhead, Hendrum, Crookston, and Oslo.

They will discuss ways to prevent future flooding and install permanent flood protection.

Permanent flood protection could cost the region between $800 million and $2 billion.
