Could Hollywood Be Coming to Burnsville?

Movie pioneer, Ed Footit wants to open a state-of-the-art movie studio, acting school and entertainment venue in Burnsville. He is looking at the site of the former Menard's on Highway 13.

Footit says cable TV show would be shot there. It would also house a stunt school and museum, as well as a 20,000 square-foot sound stage.

The deal is far from done. Footit still needs to raise $10 million for the project. He met Wednesday with Burnsville city leaders. He says he is also planning a meeting with Menards.

If approved, Footit says the studio could bring 350 jobs to the Twin Cities.
