(AP) - Authorities say a boat caught fire on School Grove Lake and one of the four people on board drowned, but the other three swam to safety. Lyon County Sheriff Mark Mather said searchers recovered the body of 49-year-old Guadalupe Herrera of Marshall about 75 feet from shore. Mather said the boat was about 100 feet from shore when the fire started Thursday afternoon. Two of the boaters were taken to a hospital emergency room and the third person was not believed to be injured. Boaters on the lake helped with the search for the missing man. --- Information from: Independent, http://www.marshallindependent.com(Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
