He began his journalism career when he was 15-years-old. He and a group of friends competed in NASA's Student Journalism Competition. Shortly after he was hired by KARE-11 as a Legislative Assistant. While working at the State Capitol he conducted interviews, filmed events and press conferences, and wrote news stories for broadcast.
In his free time he likes to make films and documentaries. He co-directed an award-winning feature length documentary titled "It Doesn't Define Us." He also had the honor of directing a short documentary for the Twin Cities Honor Flight Network. While working on the project, he got to fly with a group of over a hundred World War II veterans and spent the day with them in Washington D.C.
In his free time you will find him getting to know Southeast Minnesota. He is happy to be in the Rochester area and is excited to tell stories from the community. He is always on the hunt for a good story so feel free to e-mail him any story ideas from your community.
