Dietrich Nissen returns to ABC 6 News after working for several commercial production companies in Southern California and KREM-2 News in Spokane, Washington. His diverse work experience with video include stints on multiple film productions, commercial shoots, and of course, TV news. Some of the most memorable stories Dietrich covered during his previous stint at ABC 6 News include: the 2008 elections and the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, the Albert Lea Nursing Home abuse case, and the Extreme Home Makeover in Hayward, MN.
Dietrich was raised in the Twin Cities and is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas. During his free time, he enjoys volunteering and being with friends and family. He is an avid fan of movies and loves to write, shoot, and edit them in his spare time. He is also a musician at heart and plays piano and guitar. He is very happy to be back in the Midwest and have the opportunity to tell stories involving the people of southeast Minnesota and northern Iowa.
