(ABC 6 News) – Plainview-Elgin-Millville Community School, and Dover-Eyota Public Schools have selected new superintendents, which are expected to be approved in April and begin work in July.

At a special school board meeting Tuesday, the board voted to select Darrin Strosahl as the district’s next superintendent.

Dover-Eyota Public Schools also selected Jeremy Frie as the new superintendent Tuesday night at a special board meeting.

The PEM school board will be conducting contract negotiations with Strosahl, and a contract is expected to be approved by the School Board at an April 11, 2022, regular school board meeting.

“Darrin has shown our board that he meets and exceeds the hiring criteria established by our board and stakeholders. As the new leader of Plainview-Elgin-Millville Community School, Darrin will be able to build on the past work and successes that Plainview-Elgin-Millville School is known for. We are excited for this next chapter of student achievements to begin.” said Jake Thompson, Board Chair.

Dover-Eyota’s school board is also expected to approve a contract with Frie at a regular board meeting April 11, 2022.

Both have a pending start date of July 1, 2022.
