Multiple injured in weekend crash in Mower County
(ABC 6 News) – A two-vehicle crash in Mower County on Saturday evening sent multiple people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 9:18 p.m., a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country was traveling southbound on Hwy 218 attempting to turn eastbound on 29th Ave. SE in Austin Township when it collided in the intersection with a 2021 Toyota Venza that was heading northbound on Hwy 218.
The driver of the Toyota Venza, Mahlon Krueger, 79, of Austin was not injured. However, a passenger, Catherine Krueger, 75, of Austin, was taken to MCHS Austin with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chrysler Town and Country, Jessica Gerereo, 44, of Austin was taken to MCHS Austin with non-life threatening injuries. The following passengers were also taken to MCHS Austin with non-life threatening injuries:
- Demetrius Lewis, 40, Austin
- Jamie Lewis, unknown age, Austin
- Octabrian Pitchford, unknown age, Austin
Three other passengers in the Chrysler Town and Country were not injured.
- Mya Glienke, 20, Rochester
- Bianca Pitchford, 25, Austin
- Denovious Pitchford, 48, Austin
All occupants involved were wearing seatbelts.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Austin Police Department, Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Adams and Mayo Ambulance.
