‘John McGivern’s Main Streets’ show to feature Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – A brand new show that aims to connect people and places in our communities is featuring Rochester.

John McGivern’s Main Streets is a destination travel show. Season one showcases 13 Midwestern communities.

Back in August, the crew came to Rochester and spent 4 and half days shooting video.

Rochester will be featured on the 9th episode of season one, which will air Sunday, March 27.

"We always hope that when someone watches one of our episodes and they’re native to whatever community they are covering that in the middle of it they will look to the person they are watching with and say did you know that I had no idea. So there has got to be something in every episode the people have got to be surprised at," said Producer and Host John McGivern.

The crew will be at the Mayo Civic Center Wednesday for a free screening of the program. Doors open at 6 p.m.
