$7,200 worth of items taken from shed near Austin

(ABC 6 News) – The Mower County Sheriff’s Office said just over $7,000 worth of items were taken from a shed near Austin.

The sheriff’s office received a call from a man who was renting a shed at a home north of the Jay C Hormel Nature Center.

The caller said the last time he was at the shed was Saturday and when he left everything was locked up. When he went back on Wednesday the garage door was open and a side door had been pried open.

Several items were taken including

  • Racing go-kart w/ black and red fiberglass body.
  • Racing go-kart, w black frame, no outer body.
  • Twenty go-kart tires
  • Trek 3500 Mountain bike, silver and black in color

The estimated value of the items is $7,200.

No arrests have been made as of Thursday morning. The case has been turned over to investigators.
