Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Center in ‘immediate’ need of O- donations
(ABC 6 News) – The Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Center in Rochester is in urgent need of O- blood type donations.
Due to breaks from school and work, seasonal illness, vacations with family and friends, and weather, people may donate less and less frequently, causing an emergent need for help with donations at this time.
This life-saving blood product is needed by our patients undergoing surgeries or treatment for medical problems, such as cancer, bleeding disorders, liver damage, burns, and severe bacterial infections.

There are two sites in Rochester to donate at:
Downtown
The Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Center’s location on the main floor of the Hilton Building is open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saint Marys Campus
The Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Center’s location at Joseph M-86 is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
