(ABC 6 News) – It was a big Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning for local DFL candidates at the Gray Duck Theater in Rochester.
DFL incumbent Tina Liebling defeated Republican candidate Katrina Pulham 56%-44% to represent State House District 24B.
Liebling says she’s excited for another term in the Minnesota House, but in a new district.
“60% of my district is new to me. So, I had a lot of new people to meet, a lot of new territory, a lot of new neighborhoods, and it was really wonderful. I’m very appreciative of the voters who have trusted me to represent them in the Minnesota House and I look forward to doing my absolute best in working hard to represent them again.”
In State House District 25A, DFL Kim Hicks defeated Republican Wendy Phillips, 55%-45%.
