Bipartisan effort to extend Temporary Protected Status for Ukrainians

(ABC 6 News) – Senator Amy Klobuchar is joining a bipartisan effort to urge the Biden administration to extend temporary protected status for Ukrainians.
It’s a program that provides relief from deportation and access to a work permit for those who can’t return to their home countries safely.
In a letter to the president, the senators wrote: "Forcing Ukrainian Nationals to return in the midst of a war would be inconsistent with America’s values and our national security interest."
