2022 DFL State Convention set for May in Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – The Minnesota DFL party has announced its 2022 DFL State Convention will be held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, May 20-22, 2022.

In a press release, Minnesota DFL stated the 2022 DFL State Convention will be called to order at 4pm Friday afternoon and will reconvene at 10am on Saturday morning and again at 10am on Sunday. Convention attendees are strongly encouraged to attend various Training Summit sessions which will be offered each day.

The 2022 State Convention is scheduled as an in-person event. On-site COVID-19 testing at Mayo Civic Center will be required for all attendees, and no one that tests positive will be permitted to access any Convention space.

Tuesday, the Minnesota DFL Party announced the officers of the 2022 DFL State Convention. The DFL Party’s convention officers will work alongside party staff to ensure a fair, transparent, and productive state convention.

DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement:

The DFL Party is a people-powered party, and our caucus and convention process is how we ensure grassroots activists have the power to build, guide, and shape our movement. The State Convention is the culmination of that grassroots democratic process and our convention officers will be working hard throughout the weekend to run a convention that’s productive, fair, and that empowers the people who make up our Party. I am extremely grateful to these dedicated Minnesota DFL leaders for serving our Party in these vital roles.”
