The Midwest will get a reinforcing shot of cold air arriving and temperatures will tumble Friday into the weekend. Temperatures will hold fairly steady in the teens on Friday and near 20 on Saturday. The coldest arrives on Saturday night as we get a significant break in the clouds. Air temps will target zero. The official forecast is just above but it is possible a few locations do drop below. The wind won’t be a significant issue, but subtle breezes at this temperature will mean wind chills around the -5 to -10° range.
