First Avenue to open Monday morning
(ABC 6 NEWS) – The intersection of First Avenue is set to open Monday as part of the Heart of the City project in downtown Rochester.
The community is invited to hear from Mayor Kim Norton, City Council Member Kirkpatrick, Destination Medical Center Executive Director Patrick Seeb, and Rochester Downtown Alliance Executive Director Holly Masek.
Leaders of Rochester will share the project milestone with the community as car and pedestrian traffic opens at First Avenue between Second Street and Center Street.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 23 at Peace Plaza and the intersection of First Avenue. The event goes until 9 a.m.
