Rochester man re-arrested on sexual assault charges

(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: A Rochester man was re-arrested and will be re-arraigned in Olmsted County Court on multiple criminal sexual conduct charges Wednesday.

Carlos Allende Crisanto, 31, failed to appear for a court hearing June 29, according to Minnesota court records.
A warrant was issued for his arrest June 30, and Crisanto was arrested July 4.

Crisanto is accused of one count of 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct–use force or coercion, one count of 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct–uses coercion, and two counts of 5th-degree criminal sexual conduct after allegedly assaulting a woman in an alley outside his workplace in SE Rochester Nov. 6, 2022.

Crisanto’s bail was once again set at $0 with conditions, or $25,000 with no conditions after his court appearance July 5.

The alleged victim told police Crisanto assaulted her on Sunday, Nov. 6.

According to court documents, the victim’s clothing displayed smudges that suggested she was pushed against a dumpster, and one of her shoes was damaged.

According to court documents, Crisanto said the encounter was consensual.
