Roseville officer shot near Lake Owasso; suspect in custody

Authorities say a Roseville police officer was shot Tuesday night in the line of duty and a suspect is in custody. The officer was taken to the hospital, but police gave no information on their condition.

Roseville Deputy Chief Joe Adams told reporters the suspect is also in the hospital.

Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired from a residence on the 2900 block of West Owasso Boulevard, near the south end of Lake Owasso. Once police got to the scene, more shots were fired, hitting the officer, Adams said.

Police say there is no threat to the public.

No other information was immediately available.
