Man accused of confronting two people, pointing gun at them
(ABC 6 News) – ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Police Department is looking for a man they say confronted two people and pointed a gun at them Friday.
A 43-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from Rochester, said they had been driving around town looking at apartments. As the two were driving home just before 8 p.m. they said a man approached them on the 1500 block of 10th Ave SE.
The two reportedly slowed down and the man asked them why they were following him. The 43-year-old was driving and told police the man was holding a gun at his side. He told him they weren’t following him.
They then drove away and parked in a parking lot nearby.
Police said the suspect followed them and then pointed the gun at the woman in the passenger seat before going to the other side of the vehicle and pointing the gun at the driver. Police said he didn’t say anything but then got into what is believed to be a blue Dodge minivan and left.
When officers arrived they did not locate the vehicle. No arrests have been made.
