Albert Lea shooting suspect charged in Freeborn County Court
(ABC 6 News) – Javen Juan Moreno was charged with felony 2nd-degree assault with a deadly weapon and felony ineligible person in possession of a firearm after a May 1 shooting in Albert Lea.
On May 1, officers from the Albert Lea Police Department were dispatched to a call of a man with a gun.
Officers responded to the area of the 1300 block of Louis Street and when they arrived, officers heard what sounded like a gunshot. They found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his lower extremities.

Moreno was identified as the subject in the case and arrested Sunday, May 22 after a traffic stop.
His initial appearance in Freeborn County Court is scheduled for June 2.
