"He walked into the law enforcement center and we apprehended him right at the front doors," J.D. Carlson with the Albert Lea Police Department said.
(ABC 6 News) — The Albert Lea Police Department said a suspect is in custody following a stabbing Monday morning.
According Carlson, police were called to 221 Main St. E around 8:45 a.m. on Monday, May 16.
Authorities found two adult male victims with knife wounds, who were taken to the hospital. Then officers went to a second crime scene on William St. W where officers found another adult male victim who was also sent to the hospital.
"We could tell right away this was a little more urgent," Carlson said.
All three victims are related to each other and the adult male suspect is known to them.
About 18 tenants of the apartment building on Main St. were brought to a temporary shelter while police investigated the stabbings. Freeborn County Emergency Management provided support services to those tenants.
Police believe this is an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
