Local track and field teams win true team section meets

(ABC 6 News) — A congratulation is in order for a few local high school teams.
On Tuesday, four high school track and field teams won their respective true team meets as the road to the section championships gets closer. GMLOKS girls track won the Section 1A true meet with a score of 1,754 points. Meanwhile, at the Section 1AA true meet, it was Byron’s girls track and field squad that won with a score of 600.5.
As for the boys winner at Section 1AA, that ended up being Pine Island with a score of 624.5. LFCMC boys track and field claimed victory in the Section 1A true meet with 1,716 points.
These wins are no doubt huge for momentum with the section championships coming in late May and early June.
