World Cup watch party in downtown Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – If you’re looking to do something fun outside this weekend, you’re in luck.

The FIFA World Cup™ Viewing Party is taking place in downtown Rochester, December 9-18 with select games being shown on a large television screen.

You can cheer on your favorite team from Peace Plaza. Friday, a crowd gathered to watch Croatia take on Brazil.

“Come on down here, and sit outside here in the snow. It’s beautiful, it’s crazy nice out here,” said Organizer Dave Baum.

Dressed appropriately for the weather and bring your own chair to enjoy the action.
