Med City FC captures season-opening 2-1 win over La Crosse Aris FC
(ABC 6 News) –The Mayhem returned at last for soccer fans in Rochester.
Saturday night saw Med City FC kick off the 2022 NPSL season, a new-look squad hosting La Crosse Aris FC at the Rochester Regional Sports Center.
Action picked up in the 21st minute when Narcis Bou scored the first goal of the year for Med City to make the score 1-0. However, La Crosse did not take that lying down, equalizing the scorer in the 26th minute as Med City goalie Iker Gonzalez stopped one shot but couldn’t save the next.
Bou would later score again in the 65th minute, the new 2-1 result holding all the way to full time, securing a season-opening win for Med City FC.
The Mayhem’s next game is a home match against the Sioux Falls Thunder ay 7 PM.
