(ABC 6 News) – If you don’t have Mothers Day plan for this weekend, moms can grab a fishing pole and hit the lakes.
Moms who are residents of Minnesota can fish without a license during ‘Take a Mom Fishing Weekend’.
During the weekend, mothers can fish only for species like crappie, sunfish, catfish, or native fish like buffalo, sucker, bullhead or sheepshead.
Walleye and northern pike seasons will open the following weekend on Saturday, May 14.
Take a Mom Fishing Weekend each year coincides with Mother’s Day.
