Former LDS leader’s trial begins Monday
(ABC 6 News) – Michael Adam Davis will face trial in Dodge County next week.
Davis, 37, faces multiple charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile in Dodge County, while he served as a men’s leader at the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Kasson.
Davis faces two charges of felony 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct with a teen under his authority, two counts of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct with a teen under his authority, and one charge of indecent exposure in the presence of a minor.
In May 2021 Davis pleaded not guilty.
He is a lifetime registered sex offender due to a previous conviction in Utah involving a minor.
Jury selection for the trial is expected to begin Monday, May 9.
