(ABC 6 News) – For many years Camp Ronald has been an annual tradition at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester. It is something families look forward to every June.

About 30 families took part this year in the three-day camp. Wednesday night consisted of a picnic dinner and s’mores around the campfire with the house volunteers.

"After a long day of appointments and doctor visits and waiting at the clinic, those kids are ready to come back to the house and put that stuff behind them and think about something else- think about camp stuff. Which all kids should have that opportunity in the summer to go to camp," Carmen Thumann, Family Activity Coordinator at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, said.

Thumann said this camp is unique to the Rochester Ronald McDonald House and they have been doing it for many years. She said they’ve also added a Fall Festival and Winder Wonder Days.
