(ABC 6 News) – Owners of fireworks stands said they are working hard to give you the most bang for your buck ahead of the 4th of July.

Stands have been popping up in anticipation of the 4th for a few weeks, but some had to raise their prices after supply chain issues made it hard to find the product they need.

Tim Bachtle, who owns a stand near the 12th Street Hy-Vee in Rochester, said it all starts at the ports.

"It all goes with the shipping. Shipping costs are $28,000 for a container pervious years, and then this year it went up to $68,000 a container, so we just have to see where the container prices are next year," Bachtle said.

He said he had to raise prices by ten percent for some fireworks at the stand.

His stand is open everyday from 9:30 a.m. until sundown.
