(ABC 6 News) – Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in northeast Rochester Thursday afternoon.

Police say 16-year-old Jack Andrew O’Neil died at the scene. The crash happened around 12:54 p.m. at the intersection of East Circle Drive NE and Northern Valley Place NE.

Police said the O’Neil was driving the motorcyle at a ‘very high rate of speed’ and some witnesses said he might have been going up to 100 miles per hour.

An SUV was waiting at a stop sign to pull onto East Circle Drive, and the 47-year-old did not see the motorcycle traveling east.

As the SUV attempted to make a left turn, Rochester police say the motorcycle struck the vehicle.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Rochester police are still investigating the incident.
