Uplifting students, one weight at a time

(ABC 6 News) – One man is on a mission to make sure student athletes in our area have the resources they need to succeed.
Daniel Quaile owns Minnesota Muscle, a business dedicated to providing training equipment at affordable prices. On Friday, he dropped off a huge donation of weights to the LeRoy- Ostrander High School.
“It’s nice to get things that are new and not falling apart,” Tristan Lewison, senior at LeRoy-Ostrander High School said.
The kids were racing against the clock, but this time it’s not for a big win, it’s for $8,000 worth of new weights.
“It’s way more than we were expecting to get. It’s pretty neat,” Lewison said.

Daniel’s a local kid. He went to school here at LeRoy-Ostrander. He didn’t think this over lightly, he always knew he wanted to give back to kids just like him.
“I struggled a lot growing up. One thing that kept me out of trouble was the weight room,” Quaile said. “They’re using some of the same plates that I’m sure I was using back in the ’90s.”
Even though things look different around the school, what hasn’t changed is Daniel’s passion for those around him.
“You have to keep moving, as soon as you stop, you’re moving the other way,” Quaile said.
This wasn’t the only school Daniel donated to. This month he got behind the wheel to go to schools he attended, Fillmore Central High School and Kingsland High.
There he donated more weights to kids that will use them.
His mission is a part of MN Muscle. He paid $25,000 out of his own pocket to make sure kids have updated equipment.
“It means a lot. Small town America is getting some extra stuff back. Its hard to put a lot of money into a performance center like this,” Quaile said.
