Very Icy Tuesday

Freezing rain will continue late Monday night into the first half of Tuesday, causing the ice to accumulate all over the Weather First viewing area. Some locations could see up to a quarter of an inch, possibly more, of total ice accumulation. This is problematic on its own, especially in regards to travel. You also have to remember ice like this, will weigh down tree limbs & power lines very easily. And when you factor in any wind component, like we will see with gusts of 25 mph, we have to be on the lookout for the potential for power outages. This will be of concern, along with the very icy road conditions Monday late evening/overnight, lasting into and through the first part of Tuesday!
