Hazardous, icy roads into Tuesday morning

The travel scene will be impacted by freezing rain tonight into Tuesday. The worst of the effects will be felt from 9 PM to noon.

Icy stretches of road will be common. All untreated surfaces will be coated in ice. As much as 1/10″ to 1/2″ will fall in points across our area.

The afternoon will bring a break from persistent rain. Temperatures will also briefly warm and will help mitigate some of the worst impacts. While not perfect, we’ll likely see a bit of improvement for the Tuesday evening drive before diving back into mix/snow later that night.

As snow returns, we’ll see some deterioration of the roads Tuesday night into Wednesday again.
