(ABC 6 News) – Two construction sites reported robberies to Minnesota law enforcement Thursday, totaling more than $10,000 in losses.
Between 10:45 p.m. June 15 and 5 a.m. June 16, an unknown group stole $10,000 in used copper wire from John Marshall High School.
Rochester police said copper coils and wire was stolen sometime during the overnight hours.
The company, Knutson Construction, said they are working on getting more lighting, fencing, and are working with police for more patrols in the area.
Another construction company in the 9000 block of Haven Valley Place NW also reported $1,000 in missing equipment taken from the job site over the course of the last two weeks.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said the items taken included extension cords and "general industrial equipment."
