(ABC 6 News) – The Austin Public School Board has voted to send a new operating referendum to voters in the district on November 8.
The district is asking to increase its general education revenue by $470 per student, which would be a 0.08694% tax increase.
According to school board documents, if passed the increase would first be levied in 2022 for taxes payable in 2023 and be applied for the next 10 years, unless otherwise revoked or reduced as provided by law.
