Red Wing man arrested for spitting on an Olmsted County sheriff
(ABC 6 News) – A Red Wing man was arrested Sunday for spitting in a sheriff’s deputy’s eye.
A deputy responded to a call for assistance from a road corporal around 11:36 p.m. Sunday, June 12.
The corporal was transporting John Stucki, 29, to a locked facility due to a call about his disorderly conduct/high intoxication at a Byron Kwik Trip.
Stucki was not under arrest at that time.
When the deputy arrived, according to Capt. James Schueller, Stucki was yelling and rocking back-and-forth in the corporal’s car, hard enough to move the vehicle.
When the deputy and corporal attempted to move Stucki into the facility, Schueller said, Stucki tried to get away from them, then spat in the deputy’s eye.
He later tried to spit on the deputy again, according to Schueller.
Stucki was placed under arrest and faces felony charges of 4th degree assault for transferring bodily fluids to a peace officer.
