(ABC 6 News) – This summer, the Rochester Public Library is pedaling towards a bright future with the return of their BookBike and ArtCart .

The event returns after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, and it involves bringing books and connecting with those in the community who may not be able to make it to Rochester Public Library to rent out books.

"We mostly focus on the children’s material, but we also have some teen and adult materials, even some DVDs and things like that, and video games. It’s just a real fun way to meet people, especially people you know that might not have made their way to the downtown building yet," Youth Services Librarian Jon Allen said.

In addition to the Book Bike, Rochester Public Library is also bringing the Art Cart and is offering a number of outdoor activities for the kids. The Bookbike will be also visiting various parks Monday-Thursday every week across Rochester through September 2nd.
