Rochester woman arrested for accident injuring four

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester woman was arrested Friday for allegedly causing an accident that injured four people in another car.

Patricia Price, 48, faces charges of 2nd-degree driving while impaired, speed greater than reasonable, failure to yield to oncoming traffic, reckless driving, careless driving, Capt. James Schueller with the sheriff’s office said.

Depending on medical reports from injured passengers outside of her vehicle, Price could also face further charges, he added.

Around 10 p.m. Friday, the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to called of a crash with injuries at the intersection of N Broadway and 48th St. NE in Cascade Township, Schueller said.

Price, driving a white Lincoln Navigator with her her 13-year-old son as a passenger, reportedly took a left turn onto 48th Street.

In doing so, she failed to yield to a Dodge Charger traveling on Broadway, which had a green light and the right of way, Schueller said.

The driver of the Dodge Charger sustained a broken wrist, cuts on their legs, head, and arm in the ensuing crash, he said. Of the five people in the Dodge Charger, four were transported to the hospital for medical assessments.

During the office’s investigation, Schueller said deputies noted signs of impairment in Price, and conducted a field sobriety test. She was transported to the Adult Detention Center, where a warrant was obtained for a blood draw.
